The poverty is still evident in alot of the photos even though the time line is just prior to WWll (so the Great Depression is almost over) into WWll. A great generation of Americans! Yeah, I was thinking these photos were a bit late to be considered depression era. But, it just goes to show, in the second picture, people receiving government assistance even had nice cars back then.
