Brent
http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/cowboys/pos...-shot-at-philly SAN ANTONIO – Leave it to Rob Ryan to provide perhaps the juiciest quote of training camp while replying to a mundane question about the Cowboys’ defensive end rotation. Ryan is well aware that the signings of Marcus Spears, Kenyon Coleman and Jason Hatcher aren’t sexy, but that’s fine by him. “I don’t know if we win the all-hype team,” Ryan said. “That might have gone to someone else, but we’re going to beat their ass when we play them.” So who would win all-hype honors? “I don’t know,” Ryan muttered and then excused himself from the media horde. Hmmm … which team could Ryan have been referring to? Perhaps the squad that signed an All-Pro cornerback, a Super Bowl champion defensive lineman, a Pro Bowl pass-rusher and a former third overall pick/backup quarterback plus traded for another Pro Bowl cornerback in the last week? The Ryan family has fired plenty of shots in the Cowboys-Eagles rivalry, which features an entire chapter about Rob’s father Buddy Ryan’s days as Philadelphia’s fiery, foul-mouthed head coach. This might have been the first shot fired by a Ryan for the Cowboys, although it wasn’t a direct blow.

Cowboyz1
Bout time we got a coach with some sack. I love it. Goes alone with my attitude "win if you can, lose if you must, but Allways talk $hit". Ryan's my kind of coach. Finally we may have some attitude on defense. Mount up boys, we're ridin the Von Ryan express! I'm ready for some a$$ kickin! Bout time
theprofessor
I think it's hysterical when the 3rd best team in the division talks $hit. "Hey Rob, the Cowboys don't need a target on their back". They've been irrelevant and with the pass defense they have it's not going to get any better.

They've been irrelevant and with the pass defense they have it's not going to get any better. Name one Eagles LB - Demarcus Ware is going to put Vick on the sidelines. McCoy won't be able to run. Vince Young ain't gonna beat anyone. You have noone that can cover Witten. Dez will have no trouble with single coverage. \ The taller they are the harder they fall. Good luck counting on Dallas as an easy win.
Scooby's Hubby
Oh, and to answer your question, they get it from their Dad. It is just a matter of time before one of them slaps their O.C.

I am actually talking about yours, where you say we are 3rd in the division (I still cannot figure out who is 2nd) and irrelevant.

Just curious; how does not being able to name an Eagle QB relate to Demarcus Ware supposedly injuring Mike Vick?

You confused me so much that I confused myself. And I can name plenty of Eagle LBs. And 3 of their QBs, fwiw. E2A: And I have no dog in this fight (pun partially intended). That said, I think the Eagles are going to destroy the Boys this season. Edited August 2, 2011 by darin3

That said, I think the Eagles will have their hands full and I intend to take the points at home I don't doubt that the Cowboy offense could be better this season. I think they need to discover a RB that can pound the ball, cuz if they get a lead, they'll need to protect it against that Eagle (or any) offense. I own plenty of Cowboys in my various leagues and hope they do well. Austin is always more fun when Texas teams are doing good.
slainte
i think the best thing the cowboys have going for them is a new coach. as far as ryan's comments, i welcome them. it's good for the rivalry and i can respect him doing what he has to do to get his team fired up. but it goes both ways. i'm certain there are birds players in camp right now that will devour such comments. it'll stoke the fires on both ends. birds and cowboys having been going back and forth the last several years. sure, FAs acquired don't guarantee us success. And the new staffing changes have to yet to prove how effective they are. but the organization is taking chances and spending money. as a fan, i'm a fan of what they're attempting. no question about it, the eagles defense is improved. currently, there are more questions around the offense: 1. vick's health 2. the 'o' line 3. machlin's health 4. jackson's state of mind i hoping that once things get rolling, the issues above will subside. still though, it's exciting whenever these two teams match up. i can't wait 'till we play this year. . .
