untateve
I've always said that in fantasy football, you have to go with your gut.

tazinib1
this is what happens when you miss training camp No. This what happens when you face off against an extremely well coached defensive team who's game plan was to take out the oppositions only major threat and execute it without fault. Good luck trying to predict that each week going forward.

At this point I'm pretty sure CJ doesn't start until he blows up - which he will definitely do. But the combination of having quality alternatives and risk that CJ brings probably means he's not a no-brainer at this point.

TurboCowboy
I benched CJ and am glad I did. I'm trying like hell to trade him right now and will dump him for the likes of Gore at this point. My theory is that with his new contract, he could give a damn now. He's probably partying his balls off and enjoying life to its fullest extent. He's accomplished his goal and could care less about football anymore. He will remain on my bench until he's traded. I'm bitter for taking him number 2 in the draft, OBV.

nelsosi
In all seriousness, I expect he will eventually start to produce...especially as defenses start to respect Hasselbeck/Britt/Nate more. But right now, he looks sluggish and out of sync, and Ringer looks like the better runner. I do attribute a lot of that to his holdout and missed training camp. If I were a CJ2K owner (I'm not) I wouldn't panic, but if I had good alternatives I would consider benching him until the rust shakes off. And if someone wanted to sell him to me cheap, I'd be buying. Edited September 19, 2011 by nelsosi
