ABearWithFurniture Posted October 7, 2011 Share Posted October 7, 2011 So Victor Cruz has absolutely gone off in the past 2 games, while reports were that Manningham basically got benched last week when Eli said he was running the wrong routes and dropping passes. Offensive Coordinator Kevin Gilbride had this to say: On Cruz...""He's getting better and improving a little bit each week" (Ah Kevin, he's been an absolute beast these past 2 games going from zero to 80 in 4 seconds flat...did you see the catch in week 3 where he had 3 defenders on him at the goal-line and he took the ball away from them and scored) On Manningham's 1 catch last weekend..."He didn't have anything to show for it but he ran great routes. We just couldn't get him the ball" (hmmm, earlier in the week it was reported Mario was benched early in the game for running bad routes and not catching the football...hard to get the ball when you are sitting on the bench) So this just doesn't make any sense to me...my lying eyes are telling me one thing while Kevin is obviously seeing something else.
