SNOWBOUND33
Junk. Electric is not the future for cars. Too expensive and producing and disposing of the batteries is very bad for the environment. It's just an expensive short term concept. SEC=UGA
we need to be running on natural gas Hell, if they can do it in Turkey, we should be able to do it here... I think Hydrogen is the way to go. Electric is waaay too environmentally unfriendly, if you really want things to change in order to protect the environment. jetsfan
we need to be running on natural gas Almost all of your city buses and FedEx/UPS trucks run on compressed natural gas (CNG). It has not made it to the general public yet because of distribution problems, and the general populace is too stupid to be trusted with a large motorized bomb, see India. The problem with CNG is just that. Highway accidents will cause an explosion
jetsfan
The problem with CNG is just that. Highway accidents will cause an explosion Usually not. Almost all explosions these days are caused by dumbasses defeating the relief valve, damaging the composite tank in manufacture or installation, or overpresurizing during the filling process. The CNG tanks in use in most 1st world countries vent during an accident and have a thermally activated burst disk in case of fire.
