Jackass
anyone know if is his return role the same this year or is expected to be less?
tazinib1
He's averaged over 1k yards every year as a KO return man. I'm not a homer, but I can't see why that would change now. Edited August 30, 2012 by tazinib1
Scooby's Hubby
Last year Ingram was not healthy. Ingram has looked good this preseason. Barring another injury, I do not see Sproles having quite the numbers from last year. Close maybe, but not 80+ catches.

Good point. i'm in a league that gives a ton of points to return yards. last year sproles was the 2nd highest scoring rb. so just trying to figure out how to value him for this year. I would think with a healthy Ingram that Sproles will get every chance at repeating his return yardadge total from last year. Ingram only makes Sproles better, in this regard. Or does Ingram get more action at RB and that helps Sproles stay fresh? I Haven't seen the Saints yet in pre-season to see what they're doing with the return game, or how Sproles/Ingram have been used at RB so I'm genuinely curious. Scooby's Hubby
Sproles returns punts and kickoffs and then Ingram comes in for the first snap of the series. That gives Sproles a breather in between returns and coming back onto the field. The way I see it, with Ingram taking more snaps on the field, especially the shorter yardage snaps and goaline (which I predict), that frees up the endurance and strength for Sproles to focus more on his return game specialist role. Balzac
Saints D is going to be woeful yet again, so Sproles will be out there during the shoot-outs. I really don't see much of a dropoff from last year at all.
