TheGoat
My question is how do you work in defensive players into your overall rank lists? I have a league where DL, LB and DB get as many point as any other positions. Case in point, Watt based on last years stats is a round 1 selection. Sacks are 3pts, solo's are 1 for starters. I'm just curious how you guys do it. Good luck to you all this year.
darin3
Watt, much like Jimmy Graham and Calvin Johnson according to some, is in a tier all by himself. He provides a distinct positional advantage. That said, do you burn a first-rounder on an IDP? It's beyond risky and I wouldn't do it even in your scoring system. LB is deep and can be filled out later in your draft. I would want a "stud" LB, however, and they're probably going in round 5 or 6 I'd guess if your league scoring is set up that way. You can always wait on DB. In fact, you're more likely to get an every-week starter off waivers in the first couple of weeks than hit big on 2 DBs. Grab a couple that have hown consistency later in your draft and keep your eye on the waiver wire.
TheGoat
We do start two each for defense. That's why i almost could value Watt in the overall top 10. It's crazy i know, but he was 100 pts better than the 3rd ranked DL. I agree on Dbacks, dime a dozen.
flemingd
There's a cheatsheet at http://www.thehuddle.com/myHuddle/2013/idp/Huddle%20Performance/ and a dedicated forum at http://forums.thehuddle.com/index.php?/forum/108-individual-defensive-players/ discussing these.
