TonyBromo
Eli should make the list twice. If somebody didn't know who he was and saw his numbers from last year they would never even be able to guess he'd even won it twice, or even once... Croe
You could say that of any player with a small enough sample size. If someone saw Peyton's rookie year in which he lead the league in INTS (28) they would think that he went on to become nothing more than a backup QB. Or on an even smaller sample size, in 2007, Peyton threw for 6 INTs in one game. Eli has never thrown 28 INTs in a season or 6 INTs in one game...by your logic, Eli would be a better QB than Peyton. By the way Peyton has played throughout his career, wold one think, without knowing, that Peyton went on to win 6 super bowls and was unstoppable throughout his career. Just last year, he lead the league in completions (450) Attempts (659) Yards (5477) and TDs (55): Yards and TDs are both NFL records - but what happened in the super bowl? Lost 43-8. Croe
I don't understand people saying Joe Namath doesn't deserve to be in the HOF. Of course he does...It is called the hall of fame, not the hall of stats, and he was the most FAMOUS football player of his era, if not ever. He led the Jets to one of the biggest upsets in sports history, defeating the so called "greatest" NFL team of all time. Not only did they win, but Joe guaranteed it! The win helped solidify the AFL/NFL merger. On top of it all, he was also the first and only QB to throw for more than 4000 yards in a 14 game season. He changed the way to position was played by showing what the vertical game can do for the sport, and he had one of the highest yards per completion in his very un QB friendly era. He definitely didn't have the best TD-INT ratio or the best completion %, but he was the most famous of his generation for sure.
