Cruzcontrol15
My friend wants to trade for him. Brown is on a team that's out of playoff contention and he only wants to give up RB's for Brown. He has Gurley, Lacy, D. Williams, Yeldon, Rawls and Bernard. What would be a fair trade for brown? ImNotSoIgnorant
What does the rest of your team look like? Regardless of Brown being out of the playoffs I do not see how any of those RBs are worth it.
jkraft896
I dont think teams in playoff contention should trade with teams out of playoff contention
Shaft
I dont think teams in playoff contention should trade with teams out of playoff contention That's too hard to control. There usually a small gap between contention and not contention. Also, in our league, people are playing for drafting position next year. The league winner gets the top pick and down the line. So teams should always be playing for something.

By playoff contention I mean if they are mathematically eliminated they should not be trading with anyone who is. That is not hard to determine, it is quantifiable. Of course if you have something where the final standings matter then everyone can trade, but in a league that redrafts randomly and final standings have no bearing on next season. Teams out of contention should not trade with those that are in.
Wbolin9
I have A Brown and I wouldn't trade him for just Gurley, but that's me. I have good RB depth, but even if not...tough. A Brown is a fantasy monster

That's like disenfranchising a team because they're not good enough. That's why most leagues have a reasonable trade deadline in place to help avoid this issue.
