Dawg Pile
12 man PPR Keeper League, I have the 3rd pick in the draft and I'm already keeping Sony Michel for a 5th. I was wondering if Derrick Henry worth keeping for a 3rd round pick?

Just beware, it could be a trap.
purplemonster
Personally I dont like guys who need to learn how to run hard like Henry needed to relearn. I doubt he has the fire to be productive much past his contract year, which is this coming year. I dont know squat about dynasty drafts but my personal 2c. I don't think it had as much to do with Henry not running hard. It was more him not getting enough carries
sambo
you can draft him or someone just like him in the mid third.
Loungin834
I don't think they were using him the right way. He does need the carries to be more productive.

purplemonster
Don't take my word for it. Eddie George and Derrick Henry said it themselves. He wasn't playing physical. He was running really soft for his size and had been his first 2.5 years in the league. I think he'll play well this year because it's a contract year. I don't know beyond that. Anyone who needs to be reminded to run hard makes me leery. https://www.titansonline.com/news/tough-love-eddie-george-lit-a-fire-under-titans-rb-derrick-henry-and-he-s-been-a Edited May 17, 2019 by purplemonster
purplemonster
Also Fwiw Henry doesn't seem like a guy who will have longevity in this league. If he loses even a little he goes from an unstoppable 250-pound running back to a 250 lb target for missile DB's Edited May 17, 2019 by purplemonster
jdilbeck
Too many games last year in which he scored single digit points. Dion Lewis is still there and I don't trust him to be productive consistently when you could use that pick on steadier production
