Savage Beatings Posted September 7, 2006 Share Posted September 7, 2006 Each year before the season kicks off, I scope out the weak teams with nervous owners... after the week 1 results are in (which invariably include a great surprise performance by someone on my bench) I swoop down and offer my expendable surprising bench player/s for their disappointing or injured week 1 stud. I don't always get a bite, but more often than not I am successful in at least one of my leagues pulling off a great trade right at the beginning of the year. I offered him a trade to take Glenn or Witten off his hands and he refused. I hope the cowboys get shut out I tried to circle him since he had all cowboys but he didnt bite. I seem to remember Tim Brown scoring 3 and then following that with 1 more TD the rest of the year... who else has scored 3 TD's in week 1? Isn't there always a player that scores 3 TD's the first week? Well, there was Courtney Anderson that had an amazing game in week 1 last year, and then disappeared for the rest of the season.
