Brees fumbles Pack recovers

No game here in northern Wisconsin. It looks like the Packers are playing better. How do they look?

Well, given that the wheels can fall off at any time:

- Favre is playing within himself;

- Jennings td catch was damn pretty, and he blocked 2 guys downfield on Driver's big catch

- defense has been active, getting to Brees several times

- NO has not been able to get open downfield

- Rayner made both of his makable FGs

- Saints had a nice PR - coverage may be an issue

- Saints run game has been stuffed

- Pack can't seem to get their run game going, though Green looks VERY good again.

In other words, about night and day relative to last week.

Very good game guys, the Pack certainly made up for last week despite the loss.

I doubt that will settle down the "fire McCarthy and Thompson" bandwagon. I saw several things improve - the passing game, Greg Jennings, Brady Poppinga - and the run D stayed solid as well. Offensive line was MUCH improved - the sacks I saw seemed to be mostly of the coverage variety.

But that secondary has MAJOR issues. And the Pack just couldn't get the run game going this week.
