i_am_the_swammi
With Jennings apparently out for what ould be "an extended period of time", and Ferguson done for the year, is Martin next in line for the #2 WR slot? According to The Huddle's depth chart, he is indeed. Any insight as to who he is, and what he might be able to accomplish?
Big John
Martin is next in line. He is an undrafted rookie who was active for the first time last week. He may catch some easier passes, but I don't expect too much out of him. Edited October 24, 2006 by Big John
piratesownninjas
Big John is right with not expecting too much. The franchise really likes what they are seeing, but he's still very raw. I dont think the pack aticipated him playing this year. Fergy and KoRo one week, the next week we lose Jennings... Hopefully he comes back. I think dont think Jennings will miss that much time though.
Chavez
Martin HAS been in training camps and on practice squads for at least two, possibly three years, and had some time in NFL Europe, IIRC. I'm not predicting huge things for him, but that's enough seasoning where he ought to be able to come in and be comfortable fairly easily. He and Francies had decent enough debuts vs Miami. I wouldn't count on them for any fantasy value, however.
