Bring Back Pat!!!
to sign with SF and Wash, respectively. Pretty much agreed to terms allready, before FA opens. Was hoping the Pats would be in the running for both these guys. Also, they mentioned that it looks like the Vikes have a lot of interest in Daniel Graham. Which is fine with me, see ya later
nhoops
Was Briggs Franchised? That doesn't leave much out there, that being the case I would like to see them take a LB early in the draft, but they'll probably take a TE . Although I don't see a rookie making an immediate impact with the team especially with the supposadely complicated schemes. Granted Bruschi and Vrabel will be there to tutor but I'd feel better with a young but experienced player to be brought in.
The Wolf
Witha ton of cap room and needs on defense, this makes perfect sense for the Niners. Can't wait to see the details though...word has it that Thomas was seeking a $17 to $18 million signing bonus...

So the three LBs we had hopes of acquiring, are all off the board (supposedly). I'd love to see them take a LB with one of the 1st rounders. Posluzny (sp?) would be a great pick if he's there. I think a rookie LB could contribute some next year with Bruschi, Vrabel and Colvin there to help him out. Witha ton of cap room and needs on defense, this makes perfect sense for the Niners. Can't wait to see the details though...word has it that Thomas was seeking a $17 to $18 million signing bonus... I'm not sure about the numbers. Teams really are not supposed to negotiate with FAs yet, so terms really were not mentioned. I'm sure it's pretty big, whatever it ends up being. Pancake
SF has something like $42M under the cap. I expect that they will grab another big name FA in addition to A. Thomas.
forever in debt to mo lewis
SF has something like $42M under the cap. I expect that they will grab another big name FA in addition to A. Thomas. yep..jeremy green said he thought thomas and nate clements would end up in san fran...and at 11...they could add maybe carriker...or laron landry...i think landry may even be out of their range...i would consider moving up a few spots to secure him if i were san fran...and that team is going to be a very good football team soon i wanted london fletcher pretty bad...thought it could happen...but i guess its my fault for forgetting that the redskins are in the nfl as i said in this thread a little while back http://forums.thehuddle.com/index.php?showtopic=196139 im not a big fan of posluszny...great college player and everything...just dont know if hes right for us...i love zak deossie...hes no stranger to BB(same high school...hes been around the kid)...and had a great combine....desmond bishop did well too...and from what i hear the pats interviewed him and it went very well...i think both those guys raised their stock...so instead of landing them in the 3-4 round range...bishop could move to late 2nd and deossie somewhere in the third...deossie could be perfect for that running stuffing ILB/ted johnson role...also wouldnt mind seeing them bringing in a vet through free agency...maybe a guy like kawika mitchell from kansas city.... im loving this chris houston kid...corner from arkansas..in fact, i think he might be gunning to be the first corner taken in this draft....if he were somehow available at 24...id pull the trigger...and maybe, much to the dismay of seahawks21, asante is tagged and traded next year....but i dont see houston making it there so id like to see jarvis moss and maybe anthony gonzalez at 24 and 28...moss didnt have a very good combine...pretty weak in the lifting portion...which doesnt seem to bode well for him if hes playing the wille mac role...but i heard the pats still like him...and hes had a staph infection and pelvic injuries which have kept him out and caused him to drop alot of weight....so i think he can come in here and stay healthy and bulk up....then i wouldnt mind gonzalez or another receiver that they might like...and that kid jason hill from washington state is looking pretty good....find away to land bishop and deossie.... and id love to kick free agency off by bringing dominic rhodes here Edited February 28, 2007 by forever in debt to mo lewis
skins
I like this. We need somebody. Our defense tumbled last year. I wouldnt be surprised to see Clements sign with the Redskins and Shawn Springs go elsewhere. Redskins should trade down to get back some of those draft picks they've shipped off to Denver. Then they can get a solid DE and a solid OL. We need some young blood. Edited March 1, 2007 by skins
