polksalet
yes I am serious. I got the recipe today from a cajun friend of mine. Bird preferably duck, boiled. 3 eggs, whole cilantro okra, corn, onion, garlic scallions cajun spice of you choice extra chicken and beef broth boil and chop bird. throw vegetables including cilantro into pot with as much spice as you like. boil until the veggies are almost done and then holding above the pot, crack the eggs and let them free fall into the broth veggie mix. Cook for 4-7 minutes depending on the size of the eggs. I am throwing in lemon and lime juice for extra kick. I know bier will have this on the menu tomorrow so I am expecting royalties. polksalet
I have to say with the garlic and egg these are the worst farts in recent memory.

polksalet
you named it Green Egg just to reel me in. lol, I hadn't even thought of that. Perhaps you could make it in your green egg and call it "green egg green egg gumbo". I kid you not, once you put all of the cilantro in it the stuff turns green because of the nearly clear broth. Big F'n Dave
Whatever that was you cooked ceased being a gumbo the second you added cilantro.

My wife, a true coonass, hates cilantro and would laugh at this recipe. Sorry Polky, I think your "Cajun" friend is part Messican.

Sorry Polky, I think your "Cajun" friend is part Messican. He is not so hard headed as to preclude any ingredients which add to the quality. I dare you to make it yankee boy.
