McBoog
Up until now, we have been hearing about "the Toes" (LT & Gates) and the Chargers needing to get healthy. What has gone pretty unmentioned is Marcus O'Neal and Nick Hardwick, both Pro Bowl players. They haven't been mentioned because until last week, Marcus had not played and Hardwick is scheduled for his first start this week. This will be this first time this year that the entire first string o-line will play together. This will be a huge factor in making that offense even better, improving LTs numbers and giving Rivers even more time. Adjust your starters accordingly. LayLow
You the man Mcboog. A healthy line will push Oaklands front 4 on their backs...LT 4 td day?
The Wolf
My trade for LT will finally bear fruit...real LT-style fruit!!!
The Wolf
Rivers will have more time, yes, but I think the true beneficiary of this is LT. His numbers should explode...Rivers' may actually take a hit.
rebdog
As said, McNeil did play Monday nite. And Rivers has been protected very well up to this point in the year. Rivers didn't get knocked down once vs. the Jets. So other than Hardwick, I think the biggest question is LT's toe.

Great info here now how about some news on the defensive side of the ball.Is it going to steadily improve?
McBoog
Great info here now how about some news on the defensive side of the ball.Is it going to steadily improve? Not sure if sarcasm is the key here, but I think I will go on a limb here. The Chargers D had a great first game last year against Chicago (turns out that it was probably crappy O as opposed to great D), then some big problems for about a month. Everything started to jell and they ended on a tear. I see that more the scenario this year as well. This team seems to always get better as the season rolls on. Losing Merriman does hurt, but they won the four games when he was suspended for the juice violation two years back.
