xMRogers
Now I know this will sound callous and I definitely pass along condolences to anyone who knows Matt or his dad....but any indication on his status for Sunday?
Randall
http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/reiss_pieces/ condolences Belichick, whose father, Steve, passed away during the 2005 season, sympathized with Cassel's situation. "It's bigger than football," Belichick said. "I've been through that during the season as well, a personal situation you just have to deal with, and as I said, our thoughts and prayers are with him." Maybe he can help a little. This is tough though.
darin3
Now I know this will sound callous and I definitely pass along condolences to anyone who knows Matt or his dad....but any indication on his status for Sunday? I'd guess he's playing. Cassel's from Cali and I think the team was already out there in preparation for Sunday's game against the Raidahs. And +1 on the condolences to the Cassel family. That's gotta be rough.
charty
Cassel is back with the team today. Quarterback Matt Cassel, who returned home yesterday after his father, Greg Cassel, passed away Monday night, is back with the Patriots this afternoon. Hat Trick
Tough situation for him. Condolences to the Cassel family. That said I think he struggles this week, unlike Mr. Favre.

Yea, not sure how to play this - negative, neutral, positive (favre like) in terms of stats. Again, definitely passing along my condolences but just like the Patriots, also happy he's back at practice
