irish
http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/03/27/...ive-drug-tests/ Rumors Fly Of Scouting Combine Positive Drug Tests Posted by Mike Florio on March 27, 2009, 10:02 p.m. EDT Although the NFL teams have yet to receive the list of players who tested positive for substances of abuse and/or banned substances at last month’s Scouting Combine, rumors already are circulating as to players who tested positive. Specifically, we have heard the names of two potential first-rounders. For obvious legal reasons, we won’t be disclosing the names until official confirmation is obtained. One league source told us that there’s simply no way to know at this point whether the rumors are accurate. “I have a hard time believing the information could have gotten out,” the source said. “It’s like stealing the Mona Lisa. I don’t know if it’s true or not.” The source points out that the two players who are rumored to have tested positive are believed to have tested positive at the college ranks. So it could be that rumors of past positive tests have been twisted into rumors of positives test at the Combine. Because every player attending the Combine knows (or should know) that he’ll be tested in Indy, anyone who tests positive is either ridiculously stupid, or he has a real problem. tazinib1
I doubt they are steroid related. My guess is they are results of Josh Gordon use. Still extremely bad judgment. Damn them college kids having all the fun.
polksalet
Just as Jorvorskie worked himself back into the first round...

irish
Speaks for itself, doesn't it? I'm guessing he does this often? not much of a thread. I heard that some guy did something but I can't say who or what Guess not. It was worth a shot to mention, seeing if anybody heard anything else. Bronco Billy
I'm guessing he does this often? You'd guess right. Florio is the classic "throw-the-spaghetti-against-the-wall-and-see-what-sticks" "journaist". He's wrong more than he's right by about an order of magnitude and NFL management uses him for a dupe repeatedly. But when he manages to get one right every so often, he's more than willing to thump his chest and bray like a mule about it.

And since I haven't heard any braying or chest thumping recently I gather it's another swing and miss in a long line of strike-outs.

Agents need someone to "leak" "reports" their clients are valued highly by other teams at contract time.
Zooty
I would bet money a "highly regarded" rookie tested positive for something. It happens every year. To even mention it without a name is waste of time........just like both of my posts.....
