Salary cap - keeper league:

1) With one year left on his contract, I thought I could cut and resign Vincent Jackson at a lower price for a longer term deal. I was wrong and he's on someone elses roster now.

2) With one year left on his contract, I thought that Mike Walker was probably never going to amount to much with his injury history and prospect of THolt being (prospectively) the main person. So, I cut him thinking him no more than dead weight.

...I could sure have used these two WRs on my squad this year...

And I acquired him in the auction for a measly $7 only to cut him after he no-showed in week 1.

after the 2007-08 season, in our free agent auction period, someone put the "franchise" tag on david garrard. i needed a backup to brady, so i bid on and won garrard. because of the franchise tag, i needed to give the garrard owner my first-round rookie draft pick for the following year. then brady goes down in the first game and i ride garrard to the league's worst record and don't even get to enjoy the first overall pick in the rookie draft.

Ouch. On the bright side though, you have a possible future in a front office for St. Louis, Detroit, Oakland, ...
