chinatown dragons
Washington Redskins RB Clinton Portis (groin) said he has tried to go full speed during practices but has run into minor setbacks, reports CBSSports.com. Portis said he has experienced some swelling in his groin but it has started to subside. He said he can't make cuts like he wants to but he will test it again before the team's Monday night game. Huddle Up: It was going to be a shock if Portis returned to the lineup just six weeks after tearing his groin muscle off the bone. Ryan Torain (hamstring) has been limited Wednesday and Thursday, even coming off the bye. "Ryan was a little bit more sore than I thought he would be," Mike Shanahan said Wednesday. James Davis and Chad Simpson have been sharing first-team reps in practice.
SpinalTapp
Next thing you know...J.Davis will be activated off the Practice Squad. He will play well Monday night and a full fledged three headed RBBC will be in place in DC. Shanny will feel right at home and fantasy owners across the country will be miserable. You think I am kidding? Edited November 11, 2010 by SpinalTapp

ABearWithFurniture
he has experienced some swelling in his groin... Maybe he should just have the nurse come in and 'wrap' it for him...
BeeR
Anyone who expected much of anything from WAS RBs this year is mostly getting what they asked for, if not better. Torain was still a nice FA pickup for some though, even if just stashed away.

Doesn't get any better than that for a free agent move.
