WildTurkey
Maybe I'm missing something, but why don't the Browns just start Terrelle Pryor at QB? I mean he was at least somewhat competent with the Raiders and surely hasn't forgotten how to play QB ... seems to me it would be easier to find another WR than bring in a weak armed rookie to run the offense. stevegrab
Probably because he's rarely done any practice work as QB in this offense. Or to put it simpler, he's a WR not a QB. If he was somewhat competent as a QB he would have stayed at that position instead of converting to WR. May as well as why the Pats didn't just start Edelman, he was a QB in college. The rookie was drafted for the future, not to start in week 3 after the starter and backup were both knocked out. Yes I'd say you're missing something... Yes I'd say you're missing something... that's exactly my point, Kessler's not ready to start. Pryor's done it before and if they were to have given him a week of practice as QB with the 1's he would be a much better option than Kessler. I disagree, so does Hue Jackson and the rest of the staff. What makes you so sure Pryor would be a better option? His great success before? Kessler's horrible play so far in the NFL? Your gut (might be something you ate, take a Tums)? Also in case you don't know, Corey Coleman is out, Josh Gordon is still suspended. If Pryor were to play QB it would be Andrew Hawkins and a slew of scrub rookies filling the other WR slots. There was NEVER any consideration to use Pryor as a starting QB, because he is now a WR.

Grits and Shins
Maybe because Pryor isn't an idiot and realizes that Cleveland is a place where QBs go to die ... and he wants to have a longer NFL career.

loaf
He should've played more at QB, especially when they were inside their own 20
ts
Perhaps Pryor should have been in at PK? Still, it is tough to not feel bad for Cody Parker ... signed by the Browns what, yesterday? Today ... missed 3 FGs including the potential (46 yard?) game winner, that is just so Cleveland. Apparently it did not take him long to become a full-fledged Brown. stevegrab
He should've played more at QB, especially when they were inside their own 20 As long as he mostly runs and hands off, not too impressed with his passing, probably a big part of why he didn't succeed. Funny thing about Parkey is, the coach gave him a pass "he just walked off the bus with us today" but Parkey was taking the blame "its my job to make those kicks". He just looked off, every kick he made was within inches of an upright, none were dead center.
