Phat1
As a Husker fan I almost made the trip down there to watch it. We've got six committs playing and possibly 3 more that will announce at the game. I've been digging up practice info all week, and it seems like the guy everyone is raving over is Marlon Lucky. He should be a fun one to watch on Sat.

Phat1
Nebraska needs to get back to whooping OU. I will be watching as well, I'm mainly wanting to watch Alex Boone "the next Orlando Pace" there is a couple possible Big OSU commits making their decisions public tommorrow. what sites have you been looking at My main source has been Huskerpedia. Craig Roark(one of our commits at the game) has had his father down there watching the practices. His father has been posting a lot of info on the Husker recruits. Also used Collegefootballnews.com and rivals.com alot. I'm am so looking forward to this game. These are the guys I'll be watching. I think that NU will get Boateng to announce today and Smith and Suh later. We still have a shot at Henderaon and Myers-White. Commits West K 18 Jordan Congdon RB 20 Marlon Lucky DB 23 Leon Jackson LB 24 Phillip Dillard OL 52 Rodney Picou OL 66 Craig Roark East none Propects West DB 3 Reggie Smith - probly won't announce til Feb 2, should end up a Sker LB 33 Rey Maualuga - committed to USC DL 74 Ndamukong Suh - heard maybe this Tues he'll announce DL 98 Raymond Henderson - committed to Tenn East WR 4 Nyan Boateng - committed to Fla DL 19 James McKinney - lookin like Mich is going to get him DB 32 Adam Myers-White - committed to Tenn Really thought we had Boateng in the bag. Several of his friends are on the basketball team here. But he isn't signed yet so there still a chance. Still like our chances with Smith and Suh. Phat1
Desean Jackson from Long Beach Poly (Calif.) was named MVP of the game for helping the West to a 35-3 victory with about 140 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Jackson is deciding between USC and Cal. He showed Impressive open-field moves and good route-running. I've heard that he's most likely to play baseball. He's going to be drafted this year, and he'll take the money. Probably figures he can try it for a year or two and if it doesn't work out he'll go back to football. Coffeeman
John, is this the same game that QB Mark Sanchez played in? If so, how did he look? (I was not near a TV yesterday.) With Leinart staying, I wonder if any of our other stud prospect QBs might consider transferring elsewhere. Although Chow has proven he can turn a guy into the Heisman trophy winner/finalist in just one year, so maybe 1 year is all you need... GWPFFL BrianW
Sanchez is basically looking forward to getting a year to soak it all in under Matt. At least thats what he told reporters before hte game.
Phat1
Patrick Turner, Rivals' No. 1 ranked WR, committed to USC on Wednesday So how long til Hinds transfers now. I heard that his only real chance to play this year would be to move to wide receiver. Also, the Huskers just got themselves a wr today too. They stole Chris Brooks(#15 wr by Rivals) from Missouri today. Now if Suh announces later today that he's Lincoln bound, I'll be very happy. Vote Quimby2
Fred Rouse WR and he attends my old highschool. Hopefully he'll attend my former college too Btw, the rivals rankings I just saw had him as the number one wr overall and the 4th best player in the nation. Patrick Turner was the number two wr and 10th overall. Not a big deal, they're highschool players who knows how they'll pan out
Phat1
Chris Brooks (4-star #15 ranked Wr) and Ndamukong Suh (4-star #6 ranked DT, #46 overall) both committed to Nebraska today. :headbang Considering last years record, this may be the best recruiting effort ever at Nebraska. Next on the list Reggie Smith. If we can land him, that will be 3 of the top 5 high school players in Oklahoma signing with us. Can we PLEASE get Sarge to come back??? Phat1
USC also is in it with Reggie Smith. I think the Trojans have a shot there. I think USC is third on his list with Nebraska and OU fairly even as his first choice. From what I've read, his main concern is playing time. USC and OU both have a lot of depth in the secondary, while Nebraska is losing two starters to the draft with not much talent to replace them. Because of this I think he's a Husker. But, I've been getting a lot of my info off of Husker bulletin boards so this all could be a bunch of wishful thinking. Besides, we need him more than you do. I mean come on, we have to be able to give USC a game in 06. I know you wouldn't want to watch a blowout any more than I would.
Vote Quimby2
Here are the Rival WR rankings with Turner No. 1 and Rouse No. 2. DeSean Jackson, who I also expect USC to get, is No. 3. So USC's receivers next year could include Dwayne Jarrett, Steve Smith, Patrick Turner, DeSean Jackson, Whitney Lewis (5-star two years ago, ineligible last year), Fred Davis (5-star last year) and Chris McFoy. Not bad. LoL http://usc.rivals.com/viewrank.asp?ra_key=873&Year=2005 663902[/snapback] My bad. I saw this ranking and assumed Rouse was higher, but when I clicked on Rouse it did say he was the number two. odd 1 Derrick Williams ATH 6-0/189 Greenbelt (MD) Eleanor Roosevelt Penn State 2 Jerrell Powe DT 6-3/352 Waynesboro (MS) Wayne County LSU 3 Eugene Monroe OL 6-6/319 Plainfield (NJ) Virginia 4 Fred Rouse WR 6-4/190 Tallahassee (FL) Lincoln list 5 Callahan Bright DT 6-2/315 Bryn Mawr (PA) Harriton list 6 Mark Sanchez QB 6-4/211 Mission Viejo (CA) Southern Cal 7 Martellus Bennett TE 6-7/237 Alief (TX) Taylor list 8 Reginald Youngblood OL 6-5/280 Houston (TX) Washington Miami-FL 9 Justin King DB 6-0/183 Pittsburgh (PA) Gateway Penn State 10 Patrick Turner WR 6-5/210 Nashville (TN) Goodpasture Southern Cal Edited January 21, 2005 by Vote Quimby2

Phat1
Hey I'm absolutely thrilled about the Huskers recruiting class. We had a lot of needs to fill and were able to get quality kids to fill them. We couldn't take the chance on waiting around to see if a lot of the high caliber athletes would accept scholarships. We got 3 or 4 more scholarships left for this year. One going to Tomerlin, a 4 star JUCO TE/DE, one for Reggie Smith (fingers crossed), and then a couple for any combo of 4 guys. We should be able to target a lot of 5 star kids next year since we will have fewer schollies to offer.
