Gophers 31 - Ducks 30 !!!

I'm not going to make a huge deal out of this win, because the Gophers could have been in a much bigger bowl game if they had not choked against Michigan and Michigan State at home! But, it was nice to see them pull it out in the end. Their secondary may be very suspect, but they have the best rushing offense in the country, IMO, and their kicker is pretty good as well. Hopefully, the rest or the Big 10 will step up and do well also!

Oh Man! I watched that game and I wanted to kick Belotti right square in the nuts for calling that time out after the Oregon sack with 34 seconds left in the game. What the hell was he smoking? Then he turned around and called another right after that. What an idiot!!! wall_bas He deserved to lose on those decisons alone.

 

Overall, I thought it was a great game and both teams looked very good. I was really hoping that the Pac10 could get another win but the Gophers played well and outcoached UO in the end. Great game and congrats.

You're right, Skinman. I was thrilled/shocked when Belotti called those timeouts. I guess he was thinking MN would kick the field goal and give the Ducks the ball back with a few seconds left. But, no matter how easily they had passed against MN, there's not a whole lot you can do with just a few seconds left. I think he would have been better off just letting the clock run, as MN only had one timeout for their entire last drive. I think, either way, Lloyd was going to make the winning field goal, as long as it was inside 50 yards. Great game.
