  1. WW and I came to the mutual decision to end the Fantasy Six-Pack. There was overlap with the start/bench list and I was interested in cutting back to one feature per week. I think I made it over 200 beers. Bummed I wasn't able to bring it back for 2012, especially with all the new microbrews popping up . . . but I'll keep on drinking on. Paul
  2. Looked like a knee but he was standing on the sideline at the end of the game. Didn't get carted off.
  3. Entered two brackets in one NCAA pool. If Kentucky and VCU win today, I will lock up first and second place with no one able to catch me. Not feeling good about VCU but if they manage to pull off the upset, I will have supreme bragging rights for eternity.
  4. Per Rotoworld: Vic Lombardi of CBS 4 in Denver reports Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas suffered a torn Achilles' tendon while working out in Georgia. Lombardi spoke with one of Thomas' teammates who confirmed the report. It's not yet known whether the Achilles is partially or fully torn. Either way, his status for the start of the season is now in doubt. While Thomas is a monster talent, he's been beset by foot and ankle injuries ever since he broke a bone while training last February. It may be too early to write Thomas off as an injury-prone bust, but the history on skill position players returning from Achilles tears is bleak at best. Thomas is set up for a second straight lost season. Brandon Lloyd is locked in as the No. 1 receiver for 2011, and Jabar Gaffney is now more likely to stick around.
  5. Aikman normally is tolerable except when he does a Packer game. I can't stand the way he says "Green Bay", over-empahsizing the word "Green". Drives me nuts.
  6. Sahhhhweeet! Got me some: 7-7 0-3 Also 8-4, which isn't horrible.
  7. I was wondering about this. The weather is brutal in the Twin Cities right now. I don't see them getting into the airport tonight. It wouldn't be at all surprising to see this game get pushed back a few hours. That may have an impact on Nicks/Smith owners, who now might not have the luxury of knowing if they'll play before early game lineup decisions need to be made. Same deal with Favre...not that anyone is playing Favre.
  8. Brett Drew Tom (lots of Thomases but few Toms) Felix Miles Anquan Wes Vernon Dallas Jermichael Percy Jerricho Chester
  9. 8/20 doesn't work for me. next week would be better.
  10. I'm in for this again. Location doesn't matter too much as long as it's not beyond the inner burbs.
  11. Good info here. It sounds to me like you're stressing more about the neighborhood and it's implicaitons on your family than you are about the idea of being financially underwater. Rent it out for 3-5 years and see where the value is at.
  12. According to this, Holmy is planning to implement the WCO in Cleveland from the get-go. http://www.cleveland.com/browns/index.ssf/...he_tools_a.html
  13. I also wouldn't dismiss Wallace as a potential starter in Cleveland. In his two previous stops, Holmgren's pattern has been to trade for a QB in the first year. Both ended up as the starter (Favre and Hasselbeck). Why can't Wallace be the next Hasselbeck? He's more accomplished than Hass was coming out of GB. Plus Wallace has a huge edge over Quinn since he knows the system.
