Sleeping King
http://www.lohud.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article...RTS01/710290436 Not a major news outlet but this seems like it might actually happen. Mattingly and Kevin Long are rumored to go to. ARod next? Nice play by LA if this comes to fruition.

I think ARod wants to reunite with Pinella but thats just my opinion..Its not like he was one of Joes guys.
Azazello1313
torre in LA would be a really great fit IMO.

Ursa Majoris
LA ain't gonna spend that kinda dough They may not have to. Depends if ARod is all about the cash. If he's looking to improve on $25m / year, he's SOL - no-one is going to pay that except maybe Cuban if he gets the Cubs.
Pope Flick
Torre = Overrated. I doubt he can do as well with less talent.

Azazello1313
I doubt he can do as well with less talent. ya don't say. i think torre is a very good manager, but i guess i too will be interested to see how he goes from managing a team full of superstars (except with total crap on the mound, at least this year) to managing a team with some established guys, some up-and-comers, and undoubtedly some new guys via trade and free agency. i'm pretty sure he'll do well enough, but it IS a different sort of challenge for him. SMF
good for him...i always liked Joe. +1 Torre has always been well respected by most BoSox fans. He is a classy guy.

I agree though his slow plod to the mound used to piss me off. There's a reason Yankee games are way longer than the MLB average.
