KICK A$$ BLASTER
BBQ Reviews I found this site a few weeks ago. I have ordered some sauces and I have liked all of them. They were: 1. The Salt Lick- Austin, Texas 2. Russ & Franks- Iowa 3. Smiling Ed's Original- Louisiana
Swiss Cheezhead
Another vote for Sweet Baby Ray's. For off-the-shelf BBQ sauce that can be found at just about any grocery it's pretty good. I don't quite understand the obsession with Sweet Baby Ray's (especially from a seasoned southerner like you, rajn). Its top ingredient is high-fructose corn syrup -- and the taste bears that out. Cattleman's is probably my favorite grocery-store standard. Stubbs makes some very good variations. I've also been to Gates in Kansas City, and their sauce is excellent. If it's available online, I might have to get me some.

HowboutthemCowboys
Don't know if they have Famous Dave's sauces out where you are, but if you can get them I recommend them. Big fan of the Devil's Spit and Carolina Mustard flavors in particular. Sweet Baby Ray's is pretty good too, IMO. Peace policy I bought his sweet and zesty and enjoyed it. Thanks for the heads up.
