Yes. Absolutely. Outstanding. Absolutely.

I think Curry is the best LB in regard to pure play in the draft this year. He isn't quite Willis, but he's damned good. FFers have a problem in that he's going to be playing the Sam position, and further that he'll probably be outstanding at it - meaning he may spend his whole career there because of how critical the position is in regard to controlling the opponent's running game. That means by the nature of the position that he'll never acheive his FF potential. That given, I could see him locked into the Sam and still generating sufficient numbers to end up being a credible #2 FF LB.

But if you're looking for numbers in Willis territory, I don't think you're going to get them or within 15% to 20% of them, possibly for his entire career. While I think Curry is the best rookie LB in the NFL this year, I think you'll see better FF numbers from Lauranaitis, Maualuga, and depending upon scoring Matthews.

I agree for the most part. No way he puts up Willis-type numbers. But he'll be a competent LB2 in most leagues.

His productivity is going to be questionable in 2009, unless Leroy Hill or Lofa Tatupu get injured. However, long-term, the guy has potential to produce at least LB3 numbers from the strong-side, and at least LB2 numbers from the weak-side (if not LB1).

If your team has immediate needs at LB, I'd draft Laurinitis or Maualuga, but by Year Four I'd be shocked if both of them are outproducing Curry.
