As you all know, and are probably tired of hearing about, the south has been decimated by two of the worst hurricanes America has ever seen. A few huddlers, have started a fund called "Band of Huddlers". Huddlers just like all of you, have donated cash to this fund and YOU have made a difference as I have been able to mail or hand deliver some of those donations to these huddlers and their families. Several have lost their homes and are now cooped up with friends and relatives. Imagine having to move their children to another state and had to pay a second tuition to get their kids back in school. Some have lost their jobs. Some have lost both. This is a tangible effort that affects real people...unlike the Red Cross which you can't pin-point who it went to and what they did with it. With your help we have been able to buy a generator, paid rent, helped with replacing clothes and tuition, travel expenses to and fro as they try to clean up what use to be their home. I am pleading with you all to please consider donating. All of the information can be found in the Tailgate in the pinned thread titled "Southern Huddlers". Read through that thread and you'll see sincere thank you's from those who we have been able to help so far...but there is so much that they need that it is just unbelievable. I havn't had a donation in quite a while which is why there has been no Update. I'm going to check the P.O. box tomorrow and i hope it's full Again many thanks to all that have donated and to the generous people who have done so more than once.
