kpholmes
Just finished watching him interview on Total Access, man what a classy guy. After all his years in the league, and being kicked from team to team he still wants nothing but to be the best, and for his team to be the best. And if he can't be the best, he wants to pour everything he can into making Leinart the best he can. I was very impressed and have a lot of repect for this guy. His wife seems a little annoying though. When you think about where he came from, his career really is quite a story.

He said he has enough confidence in himself to compete for the job but if he gets beat out he will help that player as much as possible. Warner did that with the Rams when he didn't want to relieve Bulger because he thought Martz should stick with him. Both are team players. Nevertheless I think he is a great QB that will make Leinhart a great player because they both have the same style but Warner has that experience factor that Leinart will learn and improve on. Egret
Seems like a good guy. He's been around enough to see the writing on the wall... and how to read it.

He accomplished more in three seasons than most players do in a 10-year career. Since he has little left to prove on the field and he's been injured so often since SB 36, I'm sure that he doesn't mind helping to teach and develop younger QBs. Ramhock
One of those players that didn't handle the concussions, too well. Seemed to noticably affect the speed of his decision making. Otherwise, I think he would have had another 2-3 BIG years. Edited May 5, 2006 by Ramhock
Azazello1313
i read something this morning calling him the modern steve deberg (i.e., magnet for first round QBs)
muck
If he can stay healthy, and with those weapons in ARI, there is no reason to think that he can't STILL have two or three big seasons (except of course, that sound of Leinart breathing down his neck). kpholmes
(except of course, that sound of Leinart breathing down his neck). 1453351[/snapback] He actually said in the interview he loves the competition, and he whole heartedly wants the best man to play, and having someone else there just motivates him to play that much better. He said if one day he isn't the best man for the job anymore, then he will do all he can to help the guy who is be as succesfull as posible, whether its holding a clipboard and wearing a headset or teaching him the secrets on the field. Class.
BOO
Yep. I've always respected him for his attitude if nothing else.
