myhousekey
SAINTS ACQUIRE LB EDDIE MOORE FROM MIAMI DOLPHINS IN TRADE OF LB COURTNEY WATSON Teams make straight swap of veteran linebackers For Immediate Release: May 10, 2006 The New Orleans Saints have traded LB Courtney Watson to the Miami Dolphins for LB Eddie Moore, it was announced today by the club. Entering his fourth season, Moore (6-foot-1, 235 pounds) was a second-round pick by Miami in 2003 out of the University of Tennessee. He was placed on injured reserve (knee) last season by the Dolphins after appearing in five games. Moore contributed on special teams and as a reserve prior to the injury, with his top performance coming vs. Atlanta (9/5/05) when he posted five stops. In 2004, Moore played in 13 games with four starts, notching 34 tackles, a fumble recovery and four pass defenses. He added 12 tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery on special teams. At Tennessee (1999-2002), he started 24 of 46 games and closed his career with 219 stops and six sacks.
rajncajn
Beat me to it....so that, in essence, eliminates one obstacle for Bockwoldt at MLB.
Fatman
Hey Phins guys...where does this put Watson in Miami? Simply a backup? In the mix?
rajncajn
fwiw Watson seemed to have some real issues last year. There were rumors that he would miss team meetings/practice because he was hung over. He also missed the team flight once & it was thought to be for the same reason.
Randall
Moore was a second-round pick in 2003, the final year that Wannstedt was in charge of personnel moves. Wannstedt picked Moore, the No. 49 overall selection, saying the Dolphins needed a backup linebacker, passing on Florida State wide receiver Anquan Boldin. That was despite the fact that Spielman had Boldin graded higher than Moore on the team's draft board. Spielman later used that information while defending himself to the media and in interviews for the GM job with owner Wayne Huizenga. His use of that information eventually caused a rift between him and Wannstedt during the 2004 season.

keggerz
TRADE NIXED Per Rotoworld LB Eddie Moore failed a physical with the Saints Thursday, nullifying his trade from the Dolphins for Courtney Watson. Moore likes finding new and creative ways of screwing the 'Fins. It's unknown what the Dolphins will do with Moore now or if they will continue to pursue Watson.
