StuckInTraffic Posted August 2, 2005 Share Posted August 2, 2005 I can't agree more about setting the draft date. I've run a league for almost 10 years. I don't live in the city with most of the owners, so I fly in for the draft. So once a date is set it is set. One owner left the league and another was recruited. One of the things I told him a month ago when joined that the draft was on this date at this time and cannot be changed. He said he was ok with it, nothing planned. Guest THEbigred Posted August 3, 2005 Share Posted August 3, 2005 (edited) Yes BD's....this will be the third year in a row (ever since they've opened with the Thursday night game) that one game will be in the books before we begin our draft. That's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard. I'd be out of that league in a heartbeat. But don't even get me started on lazy or "mentally challenged" owners. In fact that's why I quit my old local league.....they didn't really seem to be into it and didn't want to talk FF until like late July.....by which time obviously it was almost impossible to get people to agree on a draft date and time, never mind possible rule changes/etc. My new one isn't much better, really, but at least they talk up some smack here and there...
