darin3 Posted October 18, 2005 Share Posted October 18, 2005 I am an unfortunate Deuce owner (or ex-Deuce owner, I guess). The league I'm in where I had Deuce, you're allowed to make FA pickups at any time, no waivers. Keeps you on your toes. So yeah, Smith was taken in a hurry after Deuce was hurt. But Smith is old and slow. He'll get his share of carries, but I think this is going to be the purest of RBBCs. I think Stecker has more promise, actually. He catches the ball out of the backfield, and has tons of speed (well, at least more than Smith). If you want to play it safe and get 70 yards and maybe 1 TD a week, go with Smith. If you want to roll the dice and pick up Stecker, against the right opponent, he could go for 90+ with TDs peppered in there. I picked up Stecker out of desperation, as my other backs are K.
