wiegie
As was mentioned in a different thread, we have sort of a conundrum: The wine reviews that people post will be useful for many people to have on hand right when they are tasting the wine so that they can get a feeling for what it is they are tasting. However, the power of suggestion might cause people to "taste" something just because they read that somebody else had "tasted" it. So the question is, how do we make the information easily available for people who want to learn what they are tasting without biasing the tasting experience via the power of suggestion? The solution could be for people to use the color=white option when people post their wine reviews. That way the reviews will initially be hidden, but will be available if people just highlight the "invisible" text. (note: "white" is not a color that is given as an option in the menu, but if you just type "white" in the "color=______" space it works. For example, here is a review: You guys all suck. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries! end of review just a thought. Edited November 23, 2005 by wiegie

Skippy
I think that would be a great idea as I know that I am influenced by what I read but to be honest I try but can't see myself tasting the hint of apricot or whatever. So far I'm on a "pretty good" or "not so good" rating scale. I have yet to hit one that I would actually call bad.
