loaf
found on fanball: It’s one o’clock on a Sunday The Steelers crowd shuffles in There’s a drunk man sitting next to me With a Terrible Towel and some gin. He says, son, I don’t have a good memory Who’s the Lions’ player who makes all the throws? He looks sad, has happy feet, and throws incomplete And the young man’s ineptitude shows. La la la, de de da La la, de de da da da Sing us a song, he’s the piano man Sing us a song, tonight Well, he’s in no mood for a melody And soon won’t be feelin’ alright. Now Joey’s his name; he’s no friend of mine He’s good for an interception or three And he’s been on the bench and his game has a stench And there’s someplace that he’d rather be He’ll tell coach Jauron “I believe they are killing me,” As the Steel Curtain plants him again on his face Well I’m sure that I could be a football star If I could get out of this place Oh, la la la, de de da La la, de de da da da Now Jeff Garcia isn’t a pianist And he never had time for a wife But he’s good pals with Davy, who’s still in the navy He’ll soon leave Detroit and move on with his life. And Jason Hanson might get his kicks At Matt Millen the fans will throw stones Yes, they’re all sharing the blame for the hopelessness But it’s better than losing alone. Throw a long bomb, Joey the piano man Just throw it to Roy Williams with all your might The only score has to come from somebody And the rest of your guys are uptight. It’s a pretty good bet that this Sunday The Steelers will beat the Lions by a mile And we know the Steel City will turn out to see The Lions running backs get their butts kicked awhile. And their defense hasn’t allowed a touchdown in two games It’s the best they’ve played all year And the hapless team from the city where they make cars will have no business being here. Oh, la la la, de de da La la, de de da da da Sing a sad song, Joey the piano man Sing us a song, tonight Your Lions swan song it just might be And that’s got us feelin’ alright. VikesGuy
Well done !!! But the Lions?
Clubfoothead
why is this making me scared about the game ? 1241945 Deep down you know you aren't contenders, that Ben's window was 2005 and it is all down hill from here, Marino-style. Chavez
Should always be afraid to play a team with nothing to lose. But the Lions? 1241966 Some teams have "nothing to lose"; the Lions are in another category, "unable to win"
