He gets cut during a collision on defense as a guy goes to the rim and takes an inadvertant elbow to the eyebrow ... rough play, but not a flagrant foul ... later in the game, the guy moves through the lane and Kobe -- who replays show has been watching for the guy rather than concentrating on defense -- drills him with a flagrant elbow to the neck. He gets a two game suspension from the league ... Will he admit that he was torqued about the collision and selfishly looking for retribution to the detriment of his team and apologize for losing his cool? Nope. He says he was acting as a team leader and modeling the way for playing tough defense. Yep, just demonstrating the textbook dirty play for the rookies on the team ... BAH!!! C'mon Lakers -- trade this TOad and reclaim a little bit of organizational dignity. You're not winning with him (without Shaq), so you might as well rebuild without him, rather than follow the Philly path to franchise ruin of clinging to a high-scoring thug, sacrificing team ball, selling spamshirts, and never winning anything ... When 3 guys are around you and you hoist up a 20 foot off balance jumper to try and win the game, its all for SPORTSCENTER HIGHLITE time IF you make it.
