T_bone65
I believe it was you in 1 of the other Vegas threads that said he was going to be there sometime around these dates. Let me know if you will be there or if anyone else here plans on being there at this time. We will be staying at the Flamingo you can find me at any of the Blackjack tables at any point in time during those dates, I have a tendancy to play alot while I am there. Over the last year I stayed at Bally's, Paris, and the Flamingo (my fave). The rooms are OK, nothing fancy, but clean & adequate. The restaurants are pretty good (I'm not into the buffet thing). The bosses and the dealers are top notch! Friendly, helpful, and a lot of fun. Between T-Bone and I, we probably know about 10 bosses and an unknown number of dealers. Get your Player's Card as soon as you get there. Their comps are pretty liberal. Good Luck, Skilly!

I'm not a buffet fan either, but it looks like they have a decent steakhouse, and an Italian resturant too. Player's Card. Gotcha!
T_bone65
The comps at the Flamingo are very sweet, we get something every month at least. As Rockn said we know most of the pit boss's/dealers there and a couple of the casino hosts as well. We are reserving 3 rooms for 6 nights each and we already have 4 of the nights in each room comped before we even get there. I will play enough Black Jack in the first 2 days to have the other 2 nights comped for all 3 rooms and we never pay for food there. Conrads is a very good steak house, expensive but good. Skippy
Well that sucks! I just worked out Feb 20 to the 23 at the Flamingo. Still trying to get there on the 18 or 19 but I did book the room and within a day or two I will buy the air. Just depends on if I can swing getting out there on Saturday or Sunday. We fly USAir out of Pitt but now that they have merged with AmericaWest things are a little out of whack with the price system and the dates. Like you said, it is much cheaper to go on a Tuesday or Wednesday for us but I need to be home at the very latest on Friday morning so I need to go on Monday at least. Anyway, rates can be had for $238 RT for the days that I need but USAir shows rates as low as $178 every now and then. Over that past three years or so we have always been able to get the $198 rate but that isn't even showing right now. I will be locked in by tomorrow night and probably at the $238 rate. Skippy
Just got it all worked out. Unfortuneately it is going to be the days that I said up there. Feb 18 to Feb 22 @ The Flamingo. Got the okay to go on that Saturday and started checking air early tonight. I swear USair knows when I am going because they start effing with the prices. First time I checked tonight I could get no better than $238 but that would be on AmericaWest. Same flights, (exact same as USAir and AW are now one in the same), on USAir were $323  Kept kicking around if I wanted to go Saturday or Sunday and called the wife. Checked the sites again and USAir had flights for $198 but none that I could work with. Went over to to AW and got the exact flight plan that we wanted for the $198. Now get ready for Vegas week on the travel channel, starts next Monday, and start saving the quarters.
