Down Goes Frazia Posted July 1, 2006 Share Posted July 1, 2006 (edited) fixed........ carpenters get hit with more questions then DR's & Lawyers.... not to mention roof truss designers. homeowner - "can I get that 4/12 scissor truss to span the whole 50 ft. without internal bearing ? also..... we'd like a 10ft. cathedral ceiling in the living room & then a 2 ft. coffer in the kitchen area." homeowner - ( after the trusses are built) - " will it cost alot more if we change the roofing from shake to tile ? " homeowner - ( preparing for inspection) - " i need you to come out & look @ a couple trusses. the electrician & plumbers couldn't get the ducts / wiring in with out cutting a few trusses....... can you come out & take a look ... and give me some engineering specs to pass inspection. roof truss designer - just stick frame it.
