alexgaddis
Would you trade Marion Barber for Philip Rivers straight up?
Big Country
depends on what you have at RB and QB.
alexgaddis
sorry, QB: Brooks, Frye RB: Alexander, Edge, Barber, Rhodes
Big Country
I would probably do the deal, if for no other reason than I am not the biggest fan of Frye, and reports have been positive about Rivers that I have seen. With Alexander and Edge, you have little use for Barber, and Rhodes is a serviceable bye week fill in.
Wolverine
There's no reason not to make that trade. Rivers could turn out pretty decent this year, and Barber is really your second backup. You may need to spot start Rivers as it is
tonorator
i'm assuming the QB talent on the waiver wire is pretty thin. this is a tough one because if barber wins the job, you will be getting far less than he is worth. if it were me, i'd rather wait and see what happens. you are going to start brooks for the first few weeks of the season anyway. if barber doesn't pan out but rhodes does, then you could deal rhodes at that point for a stronger QB and use barber as a bye filler (assuming brooks does not perform well). if it were me, i'd wait.
