jimsoxfan
Starting in week 10, an early game will get selected to move to the night game. Does anyone know when the NFL will announce decisions? I am really hoping they move the Chicago @ NE game since I will be traveling due to Thanksgiving! Unfortunately Indy is playing Philly that week too! Interesting choice. jimsoxfan
Just answered my own question Just as the six major college football conferences have done for many years, the NFL now will have additional flexibility to move the start times of games on Sundays, using a 12-day notice format. jimsoxfan
Another nugget. This one kind of sucks: CBS and FOX each get to protect a total of 5 games in the 7 weeks of flexible scheduling, but not more than one game in any week. Wouldn't that suck to have airfare purchased (let's say departing at 7pm) to watch a game you thought was going to be played at 1pm, only to have to find out it's been moved to a later time and either have to pony up for a hotel, pay a change fee to the airline, or miss the game entirely due to other committments. I'd be PO'd. I realize it makes for better TV, so I'm ok with it, but it sure seems like they're throwing some folks under the bus with this strategy in search of better ratings. jimsoxfan
I agree...if I was going to a 1:00 game in NE I would probably plan on flying out of Providence at about 8 or 9 pm.
BearcatGreg
There was a blurb in the Cincinnati Enquirer yesterday stating that the 12/31 game vs Pittsburgh wil be the NBC game that night. Just what we need, New Year's Eve with 15,000 Steeler fans at the party.

I think the Skins/Bucs and Pats/Phins will be changed.
