MikesVikes
another well kept secret at Childressville. Rookie Tarvaris Jackson took the majority of snaps this afternoon in practice and will start Thursday’s game against the Packers. Coach Brad Childress said Monday night during his weekly radio show that he was “mulling” his options about whether to start veteran Brad Johnson or Jackson. But two people with knowledge of the situation said Monday that Jackson is the Vikings starting quarterback. Jackson entered the Vikings’ 26-13 loss to the New York Jets late in the third quarter, replacing Johnson. He completed 14 of 23 passes for 177 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Johnson was lifted for the second time in three games after completing 10 of 17 passes for 96 yards with a touchdown. Source is Star Tribune Edited to add that the site won't let me post a link. CaP'N GRuNGe
This will make a meaningless game much more enjoyable on Thursday. I mean a Vikings/Packers game is always entertaining but one more game of stubbornly starting Brad would be just too much to take with the season pretty much over. Go Action Jackson!!!
