Who is the better flex option this week?

Recommended Posts

To start off with we know Dayne is gonna get carries and even his lard ass should produce against the Colts run defense. The Texans could be playing from behind most of the game forcing them to pass which could affect the amount of touches Dayne gets. He's scored 3td's in the last 2 games and averaged over 4 yds. per carry lately. He had 94 yds and a td against NE last week. Cotchery has only had 2 td's in the last 6 games after having 3 in the first 4 games of the season. Last time against the fins he had 1 catch for 6 yds. Jericho's best game lately was back on 12/3 against the Packers where he had 9 catches for 99 yds and a score. Dayne clearly has the better matchup and I'd start him over Cotchery even if the Texans are playing from behind the whole game.

I don't think TDs are that easy to predict, particularly when dealing with average or subpar offenses (i.e. Houston). However, Dayne will get goaline touches against a weak run D if available. Additionally, you can right him down for 60 yards for sure. The same may not be true for any WR, particularly Cotchery although WRs can go bananas and give you the points lack you need.

I think it's Dayne for 6-16 pts vs Cotchery (on a good day) for 12 -18. I like Dayne for dependable scoring as most decent RBs over average WRs in this situation, particularly given the matchup.

Dayne it is for me
