So as you settle in to watch Wednesday's game, whether in Seattle or Shanghai, Wake County or West Jefferson, LA or NYC, keep in mind that still, as ever, we're in this thing together, and we're bound across these many miles by that which outsiders simply do not understand: a deep, profound, fiery, spitting hatred of all things dook. Start now, this morning, and begin prepping yourself for victory. Begin to focus. Rearrange your schedule if you must, but resolve to get to your chosen game venue in plenty of time. Drink fluids - lots of fluids. And start building your outrage: Think about ratface and how it's all about him. Think about how the soulless @#%$ named a "center of leadership and ethics" after him. Think about how they're actually proud of this. (*see below) Think about paulus' off-arm push-off on every drive. Think about how Vitale and Patrick will sing his praises to the highest heavens. Think about mcbob, and the fouls they won't call on him. Think about how he'll be allowed to assault Hansbrough, and how he won't be made to pay for it by the referees. Think about his vulgar outbursts any time something doesn't go his way, yet the refs will never "T" him up for them. Think about how dook will be allowed to slap, bump, and dive on every defensive possession. Think about how dook will be allowed to slap, bump, and dive on every offensive possession. Think about how demarcus will go flying across the court to "save" a loose ball that's 35 feet away, that he has no chance to get to. Think about how hard, and with what primal enthusiasm, his teammates will subsequently embrace him. Think about how the students there will greet our starters with "Hi ______, you $uck" - and not only does k* or the University try to stop this classless act, but they encourage it. As do dookie V and his $uck-up Dan Patrick. Think about how k* has 6 Burger Boys, yet the announcers will make such a big deal of what he is doing this year in light of losing so much talent (jj and she-will) off of last year's team. As if the cupboard is bare. Fact is, k* lets most of his Burger boys sit until they rot. Think about Montross' bloody face. Think about Stack's baseline dunk. Think about dahntay jones' uncalled, three-stitch-producing face scrape on the great Raymond Felton. Think about how, after that incident, dook scrub andre buckner PUSHED OUR COACH WITH TWO HANDS, ON TELEVISION, IN FRONT OF MILLIONS OF VIEWERS, and not only did not receive a technical, but was praised afterwards by ratface as a "peacemaker." (I still can't believe this happened. Leadership and ethics, my bleeping a$s.) Think about wojo. Think about his pansy a$ slapping the floor at "coach k court". And think about chris collins. Mother. bleeping. chris. collins. Think about Dockery face-shoving Tyler last year, in the game's final seconds, when the outcome was decided. Think about Tyler coolly hitting a big 3 last year when the dookies were making a run, and Bobby stepping up to the free throw line and calmly smiling and nodding to his teammates that he had 'em, then delivering the proof through the nets. More than anything, begin this fine morning and start remembering how much you hate dook. Get yourself into a gnarled, throbbing, full rolling boil of hate. Sit someplace dark for a while if you can, to organize the your tangled hatred into a single coherent mantra. Let it guide you. Let the hate permeate every cell in your Carolina blue soul until you are one giant biomass of I Hate dook. It should feel good. And on Wednesday, take that to the game/bar/living room, yell like you mean it, and get ready to win. Cause it's "the game", and we are Carolina. It's really unavoidable. Anyone who is not a dyed in the wool Duke fan who has to suffer through listening to the Duker homers call a game on the sports radio will want to punch the first punk-ass he sees wearing a Dook shirt. here's the funny thing, I don't hate Duke in general. Hating Duke football is just plain mean and is akin to beating up on little children. I was watching part of the Duke/UNC women's game and didn't feel any of the hate welling up inside. Oh, I don't think Henderson meant it to be so bad, but he definately meant to hurt him. That was Dooks policy for the game, to beat up Tyler. You don't even read about the fact that Tyler had an injury to his mouth too that will require off season surgery. I think Nelson delivered that hit. Classy stuff there, real classy. Doug Gottleib sure as hell thought it had intent, from a guy who knows his stuff, and has the stones to actually have an opinion on something. Billy Packer needs to be put out to pasture- his comments were so off base and flat out wrong, it is mindboggling, and an absolute joke. off topic-Hasn't Packer been calling big time NCAA hoops long enough? when is he replaced already.......... So many quality announcers out there - the Packer/Nantz combo is torture to listen to. Who cares if he didn't mean to bloody and break his nose..... He clearly meant to eff him up with a sharp blow at the very least- Henderson will get his at some point. No kidding on the coach K thang, so outright annyoing, the whining, the self-righteousness, cannot cannot stand him. How does he manage to recruit such unlikeable guys as well? it is uncanny. I have it on good authority from someone in the game that K cheated pretty hard, and well I may add to get Duke the recruits they needed to make the jump to a major program.
