mip3097
Just wanted to get your thoughts on drafting Devin Hester from the Bears? Is he worth a draft pick. Will he get many looks besides screen passes and maybe some reverses. Just curious to see what everyone thinks of him.
Chavez
Probably not.
piratesownninjas
I think at best he'll get 2-3 serious shots to make something happen a game. I just don't see the bears spreading it out enough for him to get solid p.t. on offense, and there is no way they'd sit Moose or Berrian down for him. Bronco Billy
What exactly is he going to do on O? Berrian already has the speed/deep WR nailed down, and Hester can't hold his jock strap as far as WR skills. They're trying him at WR because he can't play CB. That's not much of a knock - CB is one of the if not the most difficult position to play in the bigs. But it sounds like they're doing something to get more out of Hester than just being a return man. Â Let me ask you - would you have drafted Dante Hall as a WR given his special teams skills? If your answer is yes, then you should consider drafting Hester. I'd prefer having guys who can actually make a contribution at WR playing WR for my team. Â Â Â Exactly, he's on the field 6 times a game tops to keep D's on their toes, and they run a reverse to him every other week, just to keep Ds from ignoring him 100% of the time. Â Not saying he won't break a nice run from time to time in this scenario, but even this biggest of Bears homers tells you to look elsewhere. aggiebones
2 or 3 TDs all season. Â Maybe 150 receiving and 100 rushing. MAX Â You can find literally 200 WRS better than that.
mip3097
Thanks for the input. I was trying to get a feeler about this and will not be drafting him.
General Itals
Some of my leagues which aren't IDP assign points for return yards and TD's to individuals who are classified as a QB/RB/WR, etc. instead of the ST. In a league like that, I would consider Hester with a later round pick as my fifth WR.

broncosn05
As others have said, no. Moved to receiver because he sucks at CB...
