Bush @ the G8 summit

Too bad it took 6 years for Bush to finally get his act together but it sounds like hes actually making some valid points and suggestions at this summit. Examples:

1) Bush met with new Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and discussed North Korea's pledge to close its sole nuclear reactor in exchange for economic aid and political concessions.

"There is a common message here and that is: We expect North Korea to honor agreements," Bush said.

Dialogue with S.K. to get us back to where we were with Clinton. Before the whole "Axis of Evil" debachle. Good to hear.

2) In the interview, Bush offered his case for why Russia should not worry about a U.S. missile shield in Europe.

The shield could defend against only one or two rocket launchers, Bush said. "Russia has got an inventory that could overpower any missile defense system," he said. "The practicality is that this is aimed at a country like Iran, if they ended up with a nuclear weapon, so that they couldn't blackmail the free world."

Defenitly, IMO, a very compelling argument to quell Russias fears about a new arms race. Kudos to the Prez here.

3) A week after announcing tighter U.S. sanctions against Sudan, Bush called on other countries to follow the United States and apply pressure to stop the misery in Darfur. He said he would consider supporting calls for a no-flight ban over Darfur.

Another good move. Of course the "calls" for a no-flight ban were started by our next Prez, Joe Biden. Still nice to hear that hes listening to suggestions, even if they are from the left side of the asile.

4) Initial reports state that President Bush has made no attempts to feel up German President Merkel during any of the G8 meetings.

I made that one up but still an improvement. :D

Back to where we were under klit'n? Do you know when/how N.K. got is nuke tech? :D

With the abandonment of its plutonium program, U.S. officials claimed North Korea began an enriched uranium program. Pakistan, through Abdul Qadeer Khan, supplied key technology and information to North Korea in exchange for missile technology around 1997, according to U.S. intelligence officials. Pakistani President Pervez Musharaf acknowledged in 2005 that Khan had provided centrifuges and their designs to North Korea.

Hillary is jealous of your attachment to her husbands sack. I try to compliment yer boy and you bash Clinton. Moran. You and your ilk are the reason this country is so divided.

Just one more reason why our continued support for Musharraf sucks. First AQ Khan lives in protected status in his country, and now Bin Laden.
