merc Posted July 9, 2007 Share Posted July 9, 2007 This is the initial draft for a new 12 team Yahoo Keeper League w/ modified PPR scoring(.5pt for RBs, 1pt for WR/TE). Other scoring includes: 10rush/rec = 1, 20pass=1. All TDs=6. We start QB, 2RB, 2WR, FL(RB/WR/TE), TE, K, D. I took SJax with my round one pick(1.03). Since then, almost all picks have been RBs. So far, the only QB taken is Peyton, and the only WR taken is Steve Smith. Henry is the best RB on the board(according to most lists), however, I am hoping that Lynch might be available for my Round 3 pick, which will occur 5 picks AFTER this one. Both Henry and Lynch share the same bye week. One strategy might be to take Holt, Harrison or Owens with this pick and then pray that Lynch is there at 3.03. What do you think? Big Country Posted July 9, 2007 Share Posted July 9, 2007 Considering that you can start 3 RBs, and obviously of the 4 picks not yours at least 2 of them will be RBs (unless one of the owners goes out on a limb and goes WR/WR), you are taking a fairly significant gamble that either Henry or Lynch will be there for you in round 3. However, as only 1 WR has been taken, and most likely only 2 will be taken before your next pick, you still will get one of Holt, Harrison, Fitzgerald, Johnson in the third. IMO, grab the RB (I like Henry, but arguments will be made for Lynch as it is a dynasty) with this pick and then get the best available WR with your next pick. QB is not an option at this point, and if you were to go WR here, you are taking a hugh gamble on one of the two RBs you like making it to you.
