CaptainHook
The Corey Simon saga ended today when the Indianapolis Colts terminated the contract of the veteran defensive tackle. The announcement was made following the team's annual Blue and White intrasquad scrimmage at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. The Colts did not comment on the move. Earlier in the week, owner Jim Irsay said the team was close to a settlement that would end an association with Simon that began when the team signed him to a five-year, $30 million contract prior to the 2005 season. Simon missed the Colts' Super Bowl season with a knee injury and an undisclosed illness, reportedly polyarthritis. Indy Star 8/5/
