What is your favorite way to assign draft slots?

I draw divisions and draft order out of a hat every year. Since we are not a keeper league (and the super bowl winner has no advantage and thus should not have to draft last), we want a random chance for every team to land the #1 pick. We also like to mix the divisions every year.

 

We always draw the order on july 4th weekend. The draft is then nearly two months away and we gameplan that whole time - which is, next to watching games on Fall Sundays, the best part of the whole process - the banter, discussion and research.
