BeeR
Damn. I was hoping to trade for him w/the idea of getting rid of an injured guy. Couldn't he fake it a little longer?

PaulOttCarruth
Here are his actual quotes: Nashville - Packers wide receiver Donald Driver, who is on the sidelines with a heavily wrapped sprained right foot, was interviewd on the team's game broadcast. To correct an early report, Driver's foot is in a boot. These are Driver's first comments since being injured a week ago against the Jacksonville Jaguars: On how his foot is doing: "It's doing good. Right now they give me treatment every day, three times a day. Now they are getting me ready to get out of this and get ready to start running again." On if fans should be confident that he will be plaing against the Eagles: "They don't have to worry about anything. I've always told them, 'Don't worry about me because I'll be out there.' They don't have to worry." On the younger players, especially WR James Jones: "James Jones is very confident in himself, so he can go out there and play the game. He always talks about how he has some of the best hands in the league. He's proven that. He's proven that he catches the ball well."

PaulOttCarruth
From a Packer Update blog: GM Ted Thompson painted a fairly rosy picture at his press conference late last week, but a person close to the situation told us that star wide receiver Donald Driver is no better than 50-50 to play in the opener. By the way, that’s the same source who told us that Vernand Morency would be out for a month even while the team continued to insist that the veteran running back would only miss "a couple of weeks"..... For you Driver owners, don't be shocked when he's listed as Questionable come Wednesday. I think he'll play but you better have a contingency plan.
