CardinalEmpire.com
This is in my other league. Standard scoring, 6 pts for all TD's, no bonuses. Start 1 QB, 3 WR, 2 RB, TE, D, K. Looking at the matchups, I am having difficulty deciding what to do between Ward and Barber. I didn't see either game this weekend, so I have no idea how good Miami's run D or Green Bay's run D looked. Westbrook had 85 yards on the ground along with another 46 receiving as about the only effective Eagle against the Pack. Portis and Betts faired pretty well in split duty, combining for 157 yards and a score. So knowing this, is there any way you sit Barber this week? I like both matchups, but I am always afraid that the current week is going to be that one where MBIII only gets 6 touches and JJ plays feature back for the afternoon. Thoughts? Also, does anyone like James Jones @NYG over Lavaraneus Coles this week? The Giants pass D was pretty poor against Romo and Coles has to go to Baltimore. cre8tiff
I think Ward gets a lot of touches in GB, either carries or short passes. Dunno if MB3 will have the same opportunities.
Doc Holliday
I think Ward gets a lot of touches in GB, either carries or short passes. Dunno if MB3 will have the same opportunities. I agree with this. I can see Ward being very involved in the passing game.
Missoula Griz
Miami gave up 200 yards on the ground to Washington. Go with Barber. Sure he will split with JJ, but he gets the redzone touches. I dont feel real good about the G-men offense without ELI playing. The Pack held the Eagles to 100 yards on the ground. Gros Membres!
As a person who lives in NY and follows the Giants, I would steer clear of Big Blue this year. Tiki thinks Ward can handle the load but he has never stayed healthy for a full season. Lorenzen will be QBing and looks mediocre to poor at the end of the game last week and GB seems to be running on all cylinders on the defensive side of the ball. I'd go MBIII, no doubt. Too many ?s with Ward and the NYG O, imho.
