I'd say with Mack Strong done for the year, and possibliy his career, that the whole offense is done as well.

Much love for Mack Strong, but he was already being phased out and Weaver was getting a lot of playing time. Strong will have his jersey retired at Qwest here soon but he was already in his mid 30's and methinks you are overestimating his importance to the 2007 Hawks just a tad.

Short term you might consider Ben Obomanu. I haven't heard anything but with Branch out for two or three weeks Obomanu might be the man. Most likely Engram will remain in the slot and for sake of continuity Burleson will remain at split end. That leaves Obomanu for the flanker position. If they move either Engram or Burleson then you have at least two players at new positions. Obomanu is talented , but inexperienced. This scenario is pure speculation on my part. In answer to your question if Hackett is indeed healthy by the end of the month then I think he is worth picking up. I would think however that you could wait a couple weeks unless you are in a really deep league.

The offense can't count on split end D.J. Hackett returning for Sunday night's nationally televised game against the New Orleans Saints at Qwest Field, either. Hackett will miss at least one more game with his high ankle sprain.
